Round Table Discussion on small business issues

EU IRIS Business Incubator, in cooperation with its founding organizations, the Armenian Caritas Migration and Integration Strategic Direction and the SME Cooperation Association, has launched a service of Round Table Discussion on small business issues.

On the 14th of April, the 1st Round table has been held at IRIS BI office. The peculiarities of the 1st Round Table Discussion have been presented to IRIS BI residents by Ruben Osipyan, the President of the SME Cooperation Association, and Gevorg Poghosyan, Head of the Business Support Office-Armenia. During these Round Table Discussions, all the SME issues and obstacles to their development, as well as the possible solutions will be revealed. 

On the 21st of May, IRIS BI in collaboration with its founders Armenian Caritas Migration and Integration Strategic Direction and (ՓՄՁՀԱ / SMECA), and in partnership with Business Support Office-Armenia has initiated the 2nd Round Table Discussions on the identification of problems and development constraints of small and medium businesses and elaboration of potential solutions. This time the topic of discussion was “Business operation challenges in marzes”  in the context of community development.

The result of the Round Table Discussions will be summarized, proposals will be developed, which will be passed to the beneficiary state bodies, business support structures in order to improve the business environment in Armenia.

The discussion series are organized in the scope of the “Increased Resilience of Syrian Armenians and Host Population” (IRIS) programme funded by the EU and co-financed by Austrian Development Agency and the Austrian Red Cross.
